Our Mission

The mission for Biomimetic Dentistry is:

This is done using techniques which Dr. Ames learned in 2009 that are well-documented in high quality dental research. These studies provide techniques that overcome the facts that:

Biomimetic Dentistry is becoming the sought after treatment of choice among informed patients... for themselves and their children.

Air Abrasion

Don't like the dental drill? Most people don't.

Air Abrasion can often be used in replacement of drills. Air Abrasion reduces stresses on the tooth being treated and virtually eliminates the removal of healthy tooth structure. It's more comfortable for the patient and can often be used without anesthesia! (No Needles!)

Air Abrasion can't be used in all circumstances. But in many, it is the most appropriate method for removing decay and keeping teeth vital.

Before And After

These silver/mercury amalgam fillings will eventually fail catastrophically. Bacteria get under them. They're not connected to the tooth to keep it strong.

Biomimetically placed composite resin restorations, with polyethylene fibers placed within the filling, enable the tooth to be connected side-to-side, top-to-bottom and front-to-back. And the restoration can move with the tooth as you chew, grind, etc.

Traditional Fillings vs Biomimetic Restorations

See how teeth are treated and what it means for your oral health.

See the difference a Biomimetic Restoration makes.

Biomimetic restorations are not just more esthetically pleasing. They respect your natural oral anatomy and create an environment more like what your body expects.

Materials which recreate the natural rigid and flexible portions of your teeth are bonded with a bond SO EXACT that not even a single bacterium can penetrate the margin. This prevents recurrent decay.

Conventional amalgam fillings are rigid, crack teeth and enable recurrent decay. This leads to future root canals, crowns and ultimately, extractions.
